The 6th SPORTMEDICA congress will be organised by the Luxembourg Academy of Medicine, Physical Therapy and Science into Sports on October 22nd, 2016. The venue will be the National Sport Centre ‘d’Coque’ at Kirchberg in Luxembourg city.
“Wettkampfmedizin” is this year’s congress theme, with the aim to reflect on different aspects in and around competition in sports. The topics addressed were chosen with care so as to highlight different facets of athlete care and management before, during and after sports competitions.
The congress will feature 6 international speakers, ranging from well-known scientists in the field of nutrition, regeneration, injury surveillance and physiotherapy to experts in legal aspects in sports and high level trainers of Tour de France cyclists.
SPORTMEDICA 2016 will provide ample occasion to summarize existing knowledge and stimulate discussions between different stakeholders. It is directed at researchers, physiotherapists and medical doctors working in the field of sports medicine, as well as trainers, athletes and the broader public.
